Spyware Detector- Are You Really Safe From Spyware?

Spyware Detector

Regardless of whether you are an internet marketer or just any normal user of the internet, as long as you go online, you are exposed to the possibility of some form of malicious online activity, namely spyware activity.

The bad news...and shocking news... is that the majority of the people do not know about it!

Let's take a look at the statistics:

In a study on online safety, a report tittled, "The AOL/NCSA Online Safety Study" reported that 22 percent of users believe their home computers are very safe and 61 percent say their computers are somewhat safe from online threats.

But what were the actual facts?

81 percent of home computers do not have one of three critical protections:

1) updated computer virus software,

2) spyware protection

3) a secure firewall.

The good news is that the percentage of American home computers infected with spyware fell almost 20 percent between 2004 and 2005.

So where does these statistics leave you?

Many computer users, especially internet marketers believe that if they have a anti virus software, they are safe from spyware. But that is not necessary true.

In many cases of computer systems that have suffered viral attack, I have found that many of the internet marketers or computer users have allowed their yearly subscription for the live virus definitions lapsed, and worst, they do not have any form of spyware detection or removal software. A few have free spyware removal softwares, but these were not powerful enough to remove newer spyware forms.

On my own computer, I have detected spyware that sought to always act like a server, to send data off from my computer...and if I did not have my own anti spyware XSoftSpySE, I would have been deadmeat by now.

If you are an online marketer or computer user, there will be times that you will notice any or ALL of these following signs of your computer being under spyware attack:

1) PC is slower. Some operations take longer than normal to run for no apparent reason.
2) Opening files that are full of meaningless numbers. and jumbled up words or figures.
3) Computer connects to the Internet on its own and not on your isntruction
4) Computer keeps on crashing, and restarts itself and repeats the whole cycle.
5) Very slow Internet connection, downloading takes ages and you want to throw your hands up in surrender or blame your ISP!

From experience, while the free Adware Personal and Spybot Search and Destroy could capture most of the spyware and cookies that commonly get into my computer, they failed to identify some powerful spywares that logged on to my computer and wanted to act as a server each time I was online.

Each time the computer churned slowly like a crippled tortoise at incredibly slow speed, indicating that the most popular free detection and removal tools 'fail miserably' at addressing the growing spyware scourge.

My personal solution to this spyware threat is to use the XoftSpy SE anti spyware software that will ensure not only security but also privacy of your computer. Adopt a preventive approach to your computer security today, and use multiple anti spyware dectection programs especially if you are relying on free personal software editions.

Hi Peter,
I am agree with you that there is a group of people around the world who unaware about spyware, which is really a bad & shocking news. Some people thought they have installed antivirus on system & hence safe from spyware attack, that's not true.
And so they need a Registry Fix Review for safety of there information on system.
